Dubai: Al Habtoor Tower tops out at 86 floors as world’s largest residential building nears completion
Over 1,740 units set for phased delivery starting summer 2026
DUBAI – Al Habtoor Group has reached a defining milestone in the construction of Al Habtoor Tower, as the structure topped out at 86 floors.
The achievement marks the highest structural point of what is set to become the world’s largest residential building.
Located in Al Habtoor City on Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower continues to reshape Dubai’s skyline with its scale and architectural ambition. The development is now transitioning into its final phase as work progresses towards completion and handover.
Topping out
The topping-out ceremony reflects the completion of the tower’s main structural framework, highlighting rapid progress achieved through advanced construction techniques and coordinated on-site execution. Thousands of engineers, specialists and workers have contributed to the project under strict safety and quality standards. The milestone also signals a shift towards façade installation and internal finishing works.
With structural works completed, attention has now moved to interior detailing and the installation of premium amenities that will define the residential experience. The tower comprises a total of 1,740 residential units, with Al Habtoor Group confirming a phased handover beginning with over 1,300 apartments scheduled for delivery in summer 2026. The project is positioned as one of Dubai’s most significant residential developments, both in scale and ambition.

Set within the wider Al Habtoor City development, residents will have direct access to three luxury hotels, the La Perle aqua theatre, and a vibrant boulevard featuring dining, retail and entertainment options.
